Join us as a guide for our shochu tasting tour at Hamada Shuzo Kinzangura in Kagoshima, and help international guests discover the unique world of Japanese honkaku shochu. This experience takes place at Kinzangura, a distinctive distillery located inside a former gold mine. The underground environment provides stable temperature and humidity, creating ideal conditions for aging and storing shochu. Guests will learn how this special setting influences the flavor, aroma, and texture of the final spirit. During the tour, guests are introduced to the history of Kinzangura, the basics of shochu production, and the differences created by ingredients, distillation methods, and aging periods.
